What is your background? tell us where you grew up and some information about your upbringing/experiences as a youth:
I was born in Indianapolis, IN to a single mother. I’ve only met my father once before so trying to grow up and learn how to become the man I am today was difficult because there was only so much my mother could teach me. At a young age I moved to Kentucky for my mothers work only after my grandfather passing away. We moved back to Indianapolis, lived with my grandmother throughout my school years so I could stay in the same school system. I was fortunate enough to be able to have a stable childhood and a tight knit group of friends, we spent most of our time inside playing video games. I ended up opening up more and becoming more social when I turned 18 and enrolled in college. I attended the Chefs Academy in Downtown Indianapolis and earned my Culinary Arts Degree and a Certified Chefs License. Now I’m focused tapping into my deeper appreciation of music.
At what moment did you know that music was part of your life and what feelings did you have towards making an active impact with your music?
After finishing school I was at a crossroads with what I wanted to do with my life and trying to figure out what would make me happiest, cooking or something else? So I sat down and thought, “If there was one thing I wanted to do with the rest of my life and be happy doing it what would it be?” I then started assessing my talents and matching them to one occupation I could excel at. The first thing that came to mind, music. So I worked every night, reading working on my vocabulary, writing songs. Trying my best to excel my craft everyday if this is what I wanted to do for a living, I knew I must sacrifice all extra I had to my sound. Later on, I was relieved to have a platform to express my inner thoughts and feelings and focus on being creative at the same time.
What artists inspired/influences you and if you could collaborate with any artist (alive or passed) who would it be and why?
As a teenager Drake, Lil Wayne and J. Cole were very influential to me. Young Money as a whole influenced me to create and similar impact today. If I could collaborate with anyone I would choose J. Cole because I see him as one of the best and I feel I have a lot I could learn from him.
What do you think about the current state of hip hop/mainstream music?
I feel like the culture and style of music has shifted. I tend to find it hard to point out words in verses in artist. Not really sending a message through music. To me music is a deeper feeling with untapped potential. Music is more than sounds, it’s beauty.
Currently, what projects do you have in the works that you are most excited about?
I’m currently working on an ‘EP’ called ‘BETTER DAYS’, which I’ve released the lead single for it, ‘Better Days’.
What are your short term career goals within the next 6-10 months?

To the person who had never heard of you what is it about your music and story that you would tell them to entice them to be a supporter?
For me, my whole life I’ve been counted out I was always told that I was next in line. My music and sound is all about creating an amazing vibe you won’t hear anywhere else. While telling a part of my story in each piece I create. The music I make will always be interesting and enticing.
